Elena Meyer

Being praised for her warm and broad tone, Germany based violinist Elena Meyer convinces the audience with her emotional approach in her playing. Her passion for violin stemmed from her childhood, being constantly surrounded by music.
Elena currently studies under Prof. Krzystzof Wegrzyn at the Hanover university of music, drama and media after having finished her pre college at the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen, Netherlands. She regularly attends masterclasses to gain a different perspective on her playing by renowned professors like Jan Bjøranger, Petru Muntenau, Victor Tretyakov or Midori.
She also enjoys participating in competitions and has been awarded numerous prizes on a national and international level. Her recent win at the “Opera Young Musician” competition in Livoro, Italy, led to numerous concert engagements. Since 2024 she is also a fixed member of the “LGT Young Soloists”, a leading, world-wide performing youth string orchestra.
Elena has been fortunate to perform on an Italian violin by Antonio Pedrinelli since 2019 and has since acquired a fine bow by French bow maker Victor Fetique in 2021. Furthermore she is honoured to be generously supported by the Hans and Eugenia Jütting foundation.
Besides her interest in studying solo works Elena particularly enjoys playing chamber music. She recently became a scholarhip holder at the “Live Music Now” foundation with a pianist. Furthermore she received chamber music lessons with Markus Becker, Stefan Heinemeyer, Oliver Wille, Heime Müller and Adrian Brendel.
