Agnes Oberndorfer
Born in 2000, Austrian violist Agnes Oberndorfer is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, studying with Mario Gheorghiu. Her previous teachers have included Laura-Maria Jungwirth and Jennifer Stumm. Agnes has participated in masterclasses with renowned musicians including Thomas Selditz, Lily Francis, Veit Hertenstein, Victoria Chiang, Thomas Riebl and members of the Pacifica Quartet. She won several prizes in competitions such as the Prima la Musica and Podium.Jazz.Pop.Rock and was a scholarship recipient of the Dr. Josef Ratzenböck-Stipendium.
As a chamber musician and soloist, Agnes has performed in concert halls such as the Recital Centre Melbourne, the Victoria Hall Singapore, the Brucknerhaus Linz, the Musikverein Vienna, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. She has appeared in festivals including Wien Modern, International Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Heidelberger Frühling, Verbier Festival and Aspen Music Festival and School.
Agnes is a member of LGT Young Soloists, Synchron Stage Orchestra Vienna and holds an academy position at the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich.
