It is not every day that one is invited to the prestigious Bavarian Radio. Therefore, the LGT Young Soloists were particularly delighted to be featured in an episode of U21-vernetzt.
The very name “Bavarian Radio” stands for the promotion of classical music. Three highly renowned formations owe their existence to the radio station: the Bavarian Radio Chorus (founded in 1946) and Symphony Orchestra (founded in 1949) as well as the Munich Radio Orchestra (since 1952). Today, the Bavarian Radio takes a leading role in educating younger generations about classical music. For its format U21-vernetzt, it has chosen innovative digital means, approaching young people via their own channels with live-streams via Facebook and Skype.
And who could be better at awakening an appetite for classical music than the LGT Young Soloists? They spent a Sunday at the studio in Munich to record the next episode of U21-vernetzt. Apart from wonderful music, the soloists are also interviewed and will appear on the internet platforms. Radio for the eyes; take a look, it’s worthwhile!
