Jamila Asgarzade

Jamila Asgarzade was born in Baku in Azerbaijan and received her first violin lessons from Ms. Tagiyeva in 2008. In 2009 she began lessons with Prof. Fatima Idyatulina. Her first solo performance with orchestra followed a year later, on the stage of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall in Baku. She soon began winning first prizes in regional competitions. She often participates in Vladimir Spivakov’s festival “Moscow greets its friends.” Jamila has performed as a soloist at the Tbilisi State Conservatory in Georgia, and has also won a Special First Prize at the FLAME Competition in Paris.
