He has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra since 2015 and played with the North Rhine-Westphalia Regional Youth Orchestra before that. Furthermore, he was also a choirboy in the Cologne Cathedral Choir and has participated in concert tours of France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Poland.

Carlo performed Joseph Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major with the Beethoven Orchestra, conducted by Kenneth Duryea. Further performances as soloist took place with the Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of Rhine-Erft under the conductorship of Christian Letschert-Larsson and the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen under David Marlow. He has also performed Bach´s cello suites at the Bonner Schumannfest and gained chamber music experience at Kronberg Academy and in workshops with the Signum Quartett and the Philharmonia Quartett of Berliner Philharmoniker.

Carlo has been given further musical inspiration and stimuli at master classes taken with Claus Kanngießer, Leonid Gorokhov, Antonio Meneses, Hans-Christian Schweiker, Hannah Roberts, Adrian Brendel, Louise Hopkins and Peter Hörr.

Carlo holds a scholarship from the Werner Richard-Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation and the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben (German Music Foundation). He plays an Italian Toppani Cello from 1733, which has been generously provided by the ANDARTA Foundation.
